Our Story
Kimberly lives in Illinois, I used to live in Northcentral Pennsylvania. In November
2009, My father and I decided to relocate. We decided on Western PA and in the end
found ourselves moving all the way to Lancaster, CA, reuniting with my two older
brothers. At first, I thought this would tear Kimberly and I apart, with the distance
being so much more than before. Luckily enough, when we reunited online, Kimberly
informed me she had for some time thought about visiting a friend who lives in Los
Angeles, CA. Not all that far from where we landed, so things were coming
together.
Then on New Years 2010, my one older brother became homeless. In an effort to help us
all (my father and I were living in the same expensive motel), my father and I became
homeless as well. Yet another hiccup in Kimberly and I meeting I thought. How could
someone still want to be with someone who moved so far away and is now homeless and
jobless? Yet through all the trials Kimberly has been sticking right by my side. I now
own a cellphone (something I said to myself I would never get) and we talk or text
nearly everyday. My brother, prior to us all becoming homeless, purchased us both
laptops and we have discovered a few local businesses who offer WIFI. So we have a few
places to "camp out" in and use the Internet, another way Kimberly and I are able to
communicate.
How We Met
Kimberly and I meet completely by accident through MySpace. I was searching for people
to add as friend and hopefully be able to talk with someone. I discovered Kimberly's
profile and after reading the information on her page, requested to add her to my list
of friends. I am not exactly handsome by the world's standards, not all that witty,
and not all that well to do financially. Plus I have extremely high standards, looking
for someone it seems does not exist.
Anyways, Kimberly approved my friend request and we began talking on MySpace. Then we
connected through IM and E-Mail. Fearing the worse after I moved all the way out west,
the move actually drew us closer together.
The first time I said "I love you" to Kimberly over a cellphone it shocked her. It
shocked me as well when I heard those words come out of my mouth. I have never been
one to really use those words, let alone honestly feel them.
